Rolf Harris jury discharged after failing to reach verdict on indecent assault charges


It is alleged he groped the 3 complainants at public events in European nation in 1971, 1978 and 1983 after they were aged fourteen, 16 and 13.

But the jury of seven girl and 5 men told the court they might not reach a finding of fact on the four counts of indecent assault.

Judge Deborah Taylor fired the jury at Southwark Crown Court in London.

TROUBLED DELIBERATIONS

The jury were sent intent on deliberate simply once 2pm on Friday once hearing the claims of 3 girls World Health Organization say the individual groped them after they were teenagers.

Judge Deborah Taylor told the jurors they have to decide whether or not the ladies had fictitious their claims or were telling the reality.

She asked them to come back unanimous verdicts.

After simply over 2 hours of jury deliberations the decide sent the jurors home for the long weekend, telling them to come back to the court weekday.
Earlier on weekday morning the jury reported they were unable to succeed in unanimous verdicts therefore decide Deborah Taylor allowed them to come back majority verdicts. however the jury later came to the court wherever their forewoman confirmed they might not reach majority verdicts.

When asked by the decide if they might reach verdicts if given longer, the forewoman replied, “No”.

Harris, sporting a dark suit and blue tie, listened quietly to the proceedings during a glass booth within the court.
